How do I set up Credit Credentials?

A step-by-step guide for system admins to set up credit credentials.

  • Companies have a choice between 3 credit options. 
    • Company - Everyone uses one set of credentials to pull credit at the company level 
    • User - Each user has their own set of credentials entered into their profile. See the notes section below for related articles.
    • Company or User - Provides an option for companies to use both company and user credentials. Some use cases for these options are:
      • Companies that sponsor their users for hard credit pulls but want their users to pay for their soft pulls and vice versa. 
      • The credit vendor's procedure for running AUS includes separate credentials than that to pull the credit report. See the notes section below for related articles.
  • Some credit vendors have one set of credentials for both soft-pull and hard-pull (Xactus, CoreLogic). If you do not see separate fields for hard/soft pull credentials your credit vendor uses one set of credentials for both. 



  1. Click on Settings in the top banner 
  2. Navigate to and click on the Actions section 
  3. Locate the Credit Report section and click on the blue pencil. 
  4. Click on the contacts tab 
  5. Scroll down the list and locate your credit vendor 
  6. Set your source type accordingly. 
  7. Hit Save in the top right. 
    If you are activating the service for the first time follow steps 8-11 below.
  8. Click on the blue pencil. 
  9. Click activate action
  10. Click Confirm 
  11. Click save.
