How to set up NMLS License numbers?

A step-by-step guide on how to set up LO NMLS licenses.

  • Each LO will need all state licenses entered 
  • The NMLS ID is their number
  • Some states provide a state-specific number to be keyed in upon set up of each state. If this does not apply to the state(s) you are entering just enter their "main" NMLS ID.
  • From Date = the date the LO received their license not the date they started with the company
  • If you are not enforcing the licensing module we recommend inputting as will be needed for lender submission and any documents you wish to print that display NMLS numbers.
  • If you are enforcing licensing the system will hard stop an LO in a state not on the list and if the application taken date is prior to the start date for a file with a state on the list.
  1. Click Settings in the top banner 
  2. Click User Licenses 
  3. Click on the LO you wish to enter 
  4. Enter their NMLS ID in the field in the General section 
  5. Click Add License  
  6. Choose from the drop-down the state
  7. Enter the License No. 
  8. Enter the From Date
  9. Enter the Expiration Date. 
  10. Repeat for all states. 
  11. Click Save.
